summer semester 2015 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listBecome familiar with Thanatagogik as a subdomain of Pedagogy. Students gain insights in subjects and work of the Hospice and Palliative Care Movement and deal with death and dying on a personal and theoretical basis.
Hospice services and palliative care programs share similar goals of providing symptom relief and pain management. Palliative care can be described as an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing life-threatening illness, including the relief of suffering, treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psychosocial and spiritual.
Theoretical inputs, discussion of texts, presentation of students
Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants). Presence and participation, writing text summories, presentation in teams.
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
