At this level the learner can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning; he/she can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions; he/she can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes; he/she can produce clear, well-structured, detailed texts on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

health problems and treatment; experiments; advertising and images; climate change; inventions; knowledge and technology: information exchange in the modern world
Linguistic Goals:
to describe processes and experiments; to spot/correct errors; to formulate personal messages; to acquire register awareness and switching; to develop editing skills; to write letters of complaint; to write a review; to interpret/solve different issues
Structural Goals:
passive voice und participles - to talk about people affected by an action; present progressive/ active and passive - to talk about a restricted period in time; cleft-sentences - to lay special emphasis on different parts of the sentence; inversion
