222931 Research Seminar: Women at the Second Vatican Council and the Development of the "Feministic Theology"
summer semester 2015 | Last update: 11.05.2016 | Place course on memo listExploration of the people and concerns of female observers in Vatican II in view of the development of the "feminist theology"
Where are the women at the Council? – They are maybe at next Council. This was the answer of Auxiliary Bishop Kempf at the press conference the day before the opening of the Council to a question of Josefa Theresia Münch. Münch helped to develop a consciousness for women in these years. Paul VI consulted male and female laymen for advice at the third and fourth Sessio of the Council. The contribution of these counsellors, which is well documented, will be the basis of this seminar. We will explore the fundamental elements of the following development of the theology of women.
Interpretation of essential inputs of women to the council and critical texts in the development of feminist theology
