Understanding of the fundamental problems, topics and methods of ancient and medieval church history

The lecture provides a problem-oriented overview of the history of Christianity from its beginnings in the context of Greco-Roman culture to the reform movements of the late Middle Ages.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.
