To ensure that students have CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B2 level in listening and speaking skills.
Listening: to promote receptive listening skills with particular stress on understanding gist and details.
Speaking: to promote oral skills and highlight problem areas in pronunciation, intonation, stress, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and oral communication

Use of a variety of authentic texts and audio files on areas pertaining to English and American Studies, including literature studies, cultural studies, linguistics and media studies, etc.

Students will be expected to watch a variety of films pertaining to STEOP topics each week. These films will be made available to students.

Interactive teacher student approach including group work. Tutorials.

Listening final exam.
Oral final exam.
Exam dates to be announced in the course.
