To activate C1+ level listening and speaking skills from CEFR. To promote understanding of more complex argumentative and specialised texts and an appreciation of nuances, including allusion, humour, word-play etc. To foster the ability to communicate effectively in discussions and problem-solving tasks.

Listening: A variety of materials including podcasts, interviews and news bulletins focusing on a variety of current topics, including some business related themes.

Speaking: A descriptive treatment of the above topics.

Weekly online homework tasks including listening, speaking and preparatory work for the class.

Interactive teacher-student approach, group work, class discussions, presentations, listening journal, detailed descriptions, interpreting and online group work.
