Practical introduction to the basic skills and techniques needed for academic research
research in the libary; data bases and bibliographies; structure and organisation of a (pro)-seminar paper; correct citation and documentation of sources; giving good presentations; basic principles of academic writing;
lectures, group work, homework assignments, guided library tours
2 possibilities: various papers during the course OR final exam.
