In this course there will be given a general overview of the history of Italian literature from its beginnings in the 13^th century until the present, with some detailed examples.

This course is about the history of Italian literature from its beginnings to the present, organized in chronological order considering the cultural and historical epochs and in the narrow sense by literary trends and tendencies.

Frontal instruction which alternates by reading and analysis phases during which the active contribution of the students is welcome.

Exam which is based on the class lectures and the readings requiring preparation.
