Introduction to italian novels in 19th century, theoratical approach to the (re)presentations of 'reality'.

In the first weeks of the class, the lections will be hold by the professor and will cover a first approach of the subject. The second part of the class will be performed by the students which will accentuate the tendencies of the italian novel by means of presentations.

Active class participation, vision of all the films which will be discussed in class, presentation of about 30-40 minutes, paper of the subject presented in the presentation (about 20 pages) to hand in until September 15^th.

The critical bibliography will be given at the beginning of the semester.
