Students will aquire basic knowledge of Russian cultural history

Main features of Russian cultural history taking into account spatial parameters and spatial theories (i.a. developement of the Russian Empire and expansion, tension between central and pheripheral areas, distinction between Russia and the Western World, Eurasia debate, gap between urban and rural areas, the creation of "new worlds" during the time of socialism: building of new cities, space flight etc.)
