Students will learn specific off-the-cuff translation techniques and translate a German text fluently and adequately into French.

Oral translation of written German texts without any preparation

Exercises will be recorded and evaluated with regard to content and language; depending on the available time, individual audio records will be analyzed in-depth.

continuous assessment and final exam; so students will have to attend the course regularly.

Reading lists will be provided in class.

In order to attend this course, students need to have passed the compulsory modules 4 + 12 + 8.

Sight Translation will be run in 2 block courses (group b = second-half semester). In case of unequal group sizes (a and b) the participants will be divided into groups of approximately equal size. Registration online on  LFU:online.
