theoretical and practical basic aspects in the translation fom Spanish into German (vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, syntactical structures) in a functional, text type conventions and register orientated way

translation practicing with mainly informative simple texts of common language (everyday writings); develop strategies for different translation problems; research tasks, translation tools; criteria for the evaluation of translations

interactive teacher-student approach and translation practicing (individual work and in groups); language comparisons and error analysis

regular attendance and participation as well as preparation and review of tasks (may change the grade in 1 degree); written course paper; two written exams; required minimum grade in each part 4,0 (= 70%)

selected bibliographic information and working material will be handed out during the course (OLAT, copies)

modules 4 and 12 are required
