The acquisition of key qualifications needed for the successful completion of pro-seminars and seminars; knowledge and practical use of subject-specific working methods as well as the fundamental rules of academic work.

A basic understanding of historical thinking will be conveyed; introduction to historical working methods as well as to the fundamental rules of academic work; historical city walks; visit of a local museum and the Tyrolean Provincial Archives; practical exercises; introduction to different types of publications and texts; scholarly citation and citation rules; secondary/online research (how to cite online sources).

Formal lectures, short oral presentations, team work, discussions.

Course with continious performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, active participation, oral presentation, reading and short written presentations, team work.
