622010 Field Trip: Master's Degree in History: Mauthausen-Krakow-Auschwitz : Traces of Nazi extermination politics, old and new concepts for memorials

Visit of the memorial at the former concentration camp Mauthausen, the national museum Auschwitz-Birkenau and various memorial places in Krakow (Jewish quarter, Camp Plaszow, Schindler factory).
Permanent participation, oral presentation with paper.
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
For C312 and C313 students, the excursion is creditable exclusively in connection with course 622011
Field trip 10-17 May 2015; limited number of participants: 30 persons (waiting list possible). Registration via VIS-online including a deposit of EUR 250, - by bank transfer. Forms for giro transfer are available at the Office of the Contemporary History Department from March 3 to March 16, 2015. Total costs: approx. EUR 750,- per person (supplement for single room: EUR 240), tickets and guided tours included.
