Students get to know the principles and main areas of testing, evaluation and assessing, which serve as a basis for the elaboration of good language tests and for the acquisition of assessment processes

Theories of testing and assessing, types and ways of testing and assessing the four skills and the linguistic competence (lexis, grammar) in the foreign language classroom

Input by lecturers, plenary discussions

Written assignments and test.

To be announced in one of the first sessions.

A requirement for the admission is among other things the parallel registration for this course and for a language specific workshop on testing and assessment ("Korrektur- und Bewertungspraktikum") in the Final Module.

Completion of the Initial Module (Eingangsmodul) at the "Innsbrucker Modell der Fremdsprachendidaktik“ (IMoF) at least one full semester ago

This course is part of IMoF's Final Module (Abschlussmodul). Admission to the course according to IMoF’s admission guidelines (for information please consult the IMoF website: http://www.uibk.ac.at/imof/lehre.html).

Group 0 and Group 1: 04.03.2015, 17:15 - 20:30 Uhr, Hörsaal 3

Group 2, Group 3 und Group 4: 06.03.2015, 8:30 - 11:45 Uhr, Hörsaal 3

Please note that for all groups the final test takes place on Friday, 19th June 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., in lecture halls (Hörsaal) 5 and 6.
