Acquiring competence in pursuing sociolinguistically relevant research questions on the basis of an actual empirical project and drawing respective conclusions.

After giving an overview over relevant methodology and after providing information on how to create structured interviews, students will give oral presentations on a chosen topic 

After some introductory hours and a meeting with the lecturer concerning the oral presentation, students will give their oral presentations followed by a discussion; on prior agreement, students will be supervised while preparing their presentations

Oral presentation and creation of an elaborated written version of the presentation

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
