deepening of knowledge on the subject of language and thinking; student work on specific questions
Students will work on recent (psycho-)linguistic literature on various aspects of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis and/or carry out empirical research on the relation of language and thought in the context of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. The results of these investigations/studies will be presented in class (oral presentation).
The course will begin with some introductory hours as stimulus for the following oral presentations by students; oral presentations by students should be followed by feedback as input for the written paper.
