Deepen the knowledge in auxiliary sciences with focus on paleography and diplomatic. Exercises in transcription, critique and interpretation of sources

Complementary to the introductory seminar in medieval history we will exercise the content and methodological approaches of the auxiliary sciences with focus on paleography and diplomatic using case studies. The focus is on archival sources, mainly letters, which we will read and transcribe together and interpret according to questions of cultural history and history of mentalities.
