Sound knowledge in relationship research.

At the beginning of the course socio-historical conditions of the current relationship life are discussed. This is followed by a discussion of important relationship theories. After that will be given a critical overview of the state of research on different relationship types, such as parent- child relationship, romantic relationships, sibling relationships, friendships. The focus will be on the empirical findings and methodological problems.

Seminar with interactive work in small groups; papers and discussion of topics in plenary

Examinations using continuous assessment based on regular written and oral contributions from the participants.
