Over the last 15 years research practices in psychology have undergone suibstantial changes. Research is increasingly conduced online; conventional litertaure reviews have been almost entirely replaced by Meta-Analyses; statististical significance tests are but one of several techniques to examine the statistical reliability of research findings (e.g., effect size indicators and confidence intervals); greater imporance is given to brevity and general intelligibility in research reports; Publication practices have also changed considerably with the rise of open-access and e-journals. Students will acquire skills that will enable them to meet the new challenges in the planning, the running and the publication of research projects in psychology.

Online-research; Effect-Sizes, Contrast-analysis; Power-Analysis; Meta-Analysis and other forms of data-integration; sceintific prose; successful publishing in the digital age.

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).
