Students
- are familar with models and principles of image processing
- know selected classes of methods for segmentation and registration of images and their properties. They are able to assess application ranges for the individual classes of methods
- know essential mathematical background and aspects of numerical realisation of the methods discussed
- are, on this basis, able to implement image processing algorithms, to understand and modify existing implementations

Modelling and simulation of form and structure changes, registration methods (point- and intensity-based), model-based segmentation, analysis and classification; applications in diagnostics and therapy, especially in surgery, radiation therapy and pathology;

Continuous assessment (based on regular written and/or oral contribution by participants).

2 written exams 60 min each
one written exam can be substituted by exercise performance (59% of marks from homework assignments)
one written exam can be substituted with an oral exam upon appointment
