Acquire an understanding for the system of international dispute settlement and for the interrelation between the law of nations and politics.

Build a deeper understanding for public international law and its application in the international settlement of disputes through an analysis of the jurisprudence of the International Court of Justice and other international tribunals.

Each participant must prepare a short presentation on a selected case or issue. Following each presentation, the class will engage in a discussion on the presented material.

Presentation as well as active participation in weekly discussions.
