In particular, we will discuss the role that performance measures can play to increase awareness for questions of sustainaiblity in production areas.
At the end of the course, students should have knowledge about the relevance, development, and use of performance measurement systems. They should understand how best to collect, analyse and present information. And they should be aware of the effects that performance measurement systems have within the orgnaization.
The following topics will be covered:
- Design principles of performance measures and measurement systems
- Guidelines for how to design, implement and evaluate PMS
- Collecting, analyzing and presenting information in a professional way
- Project management and structured problem-solving
input, groupwork, case studies.
Seminar thesis and participation in class; written exam at the end of the semester, which is based on literature discussed during the course.
