The objective of this course is to teach students the basics of fundamental company analysis and valuation as well as the practical application on the basis of case studies.

We introduce different valuation approaches and discuss their pros and cons as well as their scope of application. The presented concepts are implemented on the basis of case studies from various industry sectors. We will elaborate on how M&A specialists as well as sell-side equity analysts analyze companies and develop valuation models in order to develop a company's equity story. In particular, we will analyze the fundamental factors and parameters that are the key drivers of the valuation of a company.
