The participants are able to situate the research subject of their investigation both theoretically and methodologically. Furthermore, they are able to reason the application of the research method and to do steps of analysis in an appropriate research design.

The course provides an introduction into the foundations of discourse analysis and a methodological discussion of this approach. Moreover the course aims at applying discourse analysis to concrete examples and finding connecting points to other research methods.
