The theater offers various ways of communicating texts and contents. In this class we will explore various ways of dramatizing texts on stage. One focus will be the analysis of expatriate literature. We can also use music, dance, and painting of the period.
We will use exercises and improvisations to develop scenes that will be presented on stage at the end of the semester.
The goal will be to give students the opportunity to explore different ways of theatrical processes in a free and open environment.
Dates:
First two meetings: Thursday, October 8th and
15th 2015 (15:00), Coffeeroom, 40332, 3rd floor, Humanities Building.
The rest of the sessions will be on Saturdays: November 14th, 21st, 28th, and December 5th 2015 (10:00-14:30)
+ 1 session in January 2016
Performance/presentation: between December 7th and 18th 2015.
Introduction to the topic, theoretical analysis and practical development of scene, performance.
Active class participation, term paper, performance
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
