improving of translating competence in order to to deepen the awareness of some basic differences between German and Italian.
various text types (literatur and print media or internet) with challenging stilistic and syntactic property (strategy for translating realia, cultur specific elements in text, false friends, collocations).
Translation of authentic German texts from G into IT; interlingual textwork.
text analysis focusing on problematic structures and translation strategy. Analysis and comparison of parallel texts ( articles in both languages dealing with the same problem/topic/issue).Comparison of the translated text, accurate final version with thematic vocabulary. Individual translation (at home) of the text to be discussed is required! In-depth discussions of texts in class.
