Learning Outcome:

Consolidation of knowledges of synchronic linguistics. Exercises of analysis of linguistic units on different levels in order to understand the functional organization of language.

Contents:

semiotics, semantics, pragmatics, text linguistics, sociolinguistics

Methods:

Teacher's presentations, student's presentations

Assessment:

Regular attendance, active participation, oral presentacion, written paper.

Literature:

S. Roggenbuck/V. Ballero (2010): Introducción a la lingüística sincrónica.

A select bibliography will be handed out at the beginning of term.
