618020 Art and Application: Practical planning and designing of an exhibition

The practical course introduces to the procedure of the special exhibition “Of the end of the beautiful world. Tyrolean landscape prints and drawings (working title)”, which will be opened at the South Tyrolean Museum of History at Castle Tyrol in the spring of 2015. The participants will practice organizing and actually help organize the exhibition: They will prepare a concept, decide how to place the objects in the exhibition space, draw up loan agreements, deal with insurance policies, and concern themselves with the contents of the exhibition catalogue. The focus of the exhibition is on the diversity of modern era landscape prints and drawings in the whole of Tyrol from the 17th to the 19th century.
This lecture requires continuous assessment based on active class participation and written/ oral presentations
