Expansion and consolidation of specific knowledge in the field of contemporary history by examination of new and uncommon topics, taking into account current tendencies and controversies of research, applying scholarly skills (methods and working techniques) and linking with basic content, development of skills for the independent formulation of historical questions.

Introduction to the currently intensively discussed problem of how to exhibit and represent migration in museums; reading and discussion of relevant scholarly literature; analysis of phenomena of musealization; functioning of a museum; practical work in the Museum of Tyrolean Heritage; development of a thematic collection strategy for the Museum of Tyrolean Regional Heritage in particular and for the Tyrolean Museums in general.

Lecture, reading, discussions; own research.

Regular attendance, active participation in discussions, required readings, oral presentation, written paper.
