Imparting of basic knowledge in Ancient history as fundament for a further orientation within the discipline. Overview of political and social conditions and processes in the different cultures, from the early civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia until the so called transformational period. Allusions to methodological problems and basic research-questions.
Lecture with the possibility of discussing problems.
