The students understand the basics of chemical kinetics and the calculation of reaction rates.
Kinetic gas theory, transport processes, reaction rates, reaction order, simple reactions, reverse reactions, parallel reactions, consecutive reactions, pre-equilibrium, "unimolecular" reactions, chain reactions.
