winter semester 2015/2016 | Last update: 03.11.2015 | Place course on memo listParticipants should be able to critically question basic concepts in philosophy of science, such as objectivity, method, hypothesis, theory, paradigm, evidence, etc.. The individually scored learning outcomes should be related to their own research.
Reflections and discussions on conditions, methods, objectives and forms of insight. For example: How come scientists to their knowledge? What is knowledge? What are the motives, which historical and social conditions, which assumptions, conditions and aims play a role in the process of gaining insights.
Publications on major milestones of philosophy of science and ethics and on important statements of their representatives are read and critically discussed with the involvement of findings in modern gender research.
