Learning Outcome:

Understanding of basic principles of mechanics, equilibrium of forces and internal forces and moments from an architectural point of view. Basic understanding of the structural design.

Contents:

Classification of structural systems; Loading of building structures; Analysis of forces and loads; Calculation of support reactions and internal forces of statically determinate structures; Introduction to structural design.

Methods:

presentation on tablet PPT or blackboard to demonstrate exeamples for calculation and design

Assessment:

written examination at the end of the semester.
