Learning Outcome:

To impart an in-depth knowledge of European Labour Law.

Contents:

Freedom of movement; principle of equal treatment; Directive 2001/23/EC on the safeguarding of employees´rights in the event of transfers of undertakings; Council Directive 97/81/EC on part-time work; Directive 96/71/EC concerning the posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services; Regulation 1612/68 of the Council of 15 October 1968 on freedom of movement for workers within the Community; Social Dialogue.

Methods:

Lecture and active participation of students.

Assessment:

Written examination at the end of the semester.

Literature:

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
