summer semester 2016 | Last update: 11.04.2016 | Place course on memo listThe students receive knowledge on practical relevance and use of theoretical approaches in different fields of rural sociology.
The seminar deals with relevant approaches in regional develoment processes (in the global north as well as the countries of the global south) using scientifc literature and case studies of research projects. Furthermore aspects of environmental sociology and the social construction of the rural (rural idyll, heritage, landscape, ...) are dealt with.
Presentations, Movie samples, writing abstracts of compulsory literature, preparation and presentation of texts by the students, discussion, group work
immanent examinations:
continuous assessment, evaluation of written abstarcts, preparation and presentation of scientific literature texts, active participation in discussions and written take-home-test
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
positive completion of the compulsory module according to § 5 Para 1 No 2.
