Students develop competencies to understand the peculiarities of organizing and management in art and cultural settings. In addition other expert organizations especially in terms of development, leadership and strategy issues are addressed.     

- The relationship of culture, arts and management
Management, governance and development of arts,  
cultural and expert organizations
- Organizing expertise: analyzing the possibilities, discussing the limits and studying insights
- Strategy, management control and leadership issues in the cultural and the arts sector as well as in expert organizations
- Organizational Development in multi-stakeholder environments like the cultural field
Art management and the art of management: critical reflections and consequences for cultural and expert organizations

Instructions, lectures, plenary and group discussions, reading assignments, student presentations, guest lectures, work with case studies.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

will be discussed in the first unit

This module is offered to 30 students. Students of other Master programs can choose this module as a free elective
