The main goals of this course are to critically reflect the interplay between capitalism and social norms set by society, as well as the central role of financial markets and how they affect our daily live. In the course of this ethics and morals, together with justice are prominently discussed.

Basic (anti-) capitalistic theories and ideas will be critically discussed. Among other things, topics like the idea of a free market, basic concepts of justice, life in (post-) growth society and the area of conflict between markets and morals are presented.
