Objective:

Professional orientation in a specific field of research; excellent knowledge of relevant

problems in the field of the dissertations topic with regards to contents, methodology and

methods.

Professional orientation in a specific field of research; excellent knowledge of relevant

problems in the field of the dissertations topic with regards to contents, methodology and

methods.

Critical reflection of up-to-date research projects of international researcher who are visiting our Department of Strategic Management, Marketing and Tourism. About six researcher will present their work in brown bag session from April-June 2016. PhD students are asked to actively participate and reflect especially methods and methodology of these projects. Five presentations can already be announced, however exact timing will be provided during Feburary 2016. Please not the following dates:

-Research Meeting/ Retreat of our Department: 4. & 5. Juli 2016.

A max. 15 page reflection paper has to be written in English or German language. In this paper the students individually discuss a the presented research projects in terms of the relevance and rigour but also in terms of managerial and/or policy implications. Furthermore, the students need to reflect the methods and methodology of these research initiatives and should develop advantages and disadvantages of these methods used. Finally, the paper concludes with lessons to be learned from the research initiative discussed in this reflection paper.
