Familiarity with core questions of gender Theory; underständing of interrelations between gender identities and socio-cultural contexts;

Introduction of the sex-gender-difference and its critical potential in the analysis of binary oppositions such as subject-objekt, culture-nature etc. This introduction will be grounded in the discussion of highly influential conceptualizations of gender differences in western culture and society, which in turn will allow the framing of fields of work in literary scholarship and in the interpretation of individual literary texts.
