To attain a general impression of today's Spain taking into account its recent past.
The Spanish state: how it is organised; the civil war and the dictatorship; the transition to democracy; nationalism in Spain; contemporary Spanish literature; music and art; cinema and sport analysed from a sociological perspective; main problems in contemporary Spain
- Teacher's input.
- Students' presentations (guided beforehand by the teacher) and group debate on the topics presented.
- Students' contributions in class
