The aim of this course is to bring the students to a level where they are able to express themselves correctly and proficiently, in writing. It is also very important to help them discover their own creative possibilities, so they can learn that writing can be a source of joy.

We will practice the four main modalities: exposition, description, argumentation and narrative, and several other mixed modalities.

We will use several methods (role-playing; games; observation of reality; naming...) in order to create a good dynamic in the group. Interaction is very important in this course.

The students are required to write seven to ten texts throughout the course and bring them regularly to be corrected. At the end of the semester, these corrected texts must be brought to the professor for a final evaluation. The professor will also give the students extra exercises as workload (through Olat) and eventually one or two written tests.

Will be offered on Olat or handed out during classes.

Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (teacher training programs/specialized degree programs), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course. 

You can only learn to write by writing (although reading can also help :-)). Being present every week is extremely important too. And also having fun. If you find writing boring, your reader will be bored too.
