The aim of the lecture is to introduce students to basic legal concepts.

During the lecture we will look at basic legal concepts, including jurisdictions, legal systems, areas of law, and comparative law.

The lecture will comprise PowerPoint presentations on individual topics as well as interactive learning.

Assessment will be carried out in the form of a test comprising questions about the topics dealt with in the lecture.

Literature will be communicated via OLAT.

Students do not have to fulfil any prerequisites to attend this lecture.

This lecture is an introduction to basic legal concepts designed for all students regardless of which languages they study.
