summer semester 2016 | Last update: 14.04.2016 | Place course on memo listThis course will build on the knowledge gained on the introductory course ("Multimedial Translation I"), and will equip students with the necessary skills to carry out subtitling projects in both language directions (German>English and English>German).
Subtitles will be created for videos whose original language is either German or English. Group and team work will help to enhance students' project management skills and quality assurance strategies.
Individual and team work; peer editing and correction.
Regular practice assignments; subtitling project; end-of-term test.
Handouts and video clips will be available via OLAT. Further materials and bibliographical references will be provided in class.
Participants must have successfully completed Multimedial Translation I.
