627014 Putting German as a Foreign/Second Language and Intercultural Learning into Practice
summer semester 2016 | Last update: 15.02.2016 | Place course on memo listStudents get insight into the practise of teaching German as a foreign/second language and into the process of interculural learning. They can decide on a focus for their teaching according to the specific needs of the respective group of students and know how to plan language classes accordingly.
Students acquire and discuss criteria for describing the teaching of language classes and classroom activities. They plan lessons and classroom acitvities based on units taken from various textbooks and other teaching devices. The activities planned focus on the needs identified for the respective group of studens. They check teaching material and methods applying a practice-focused approach.
Analysing recordet teaching sessions; attending and observing language classes; discussions; planing lessons and presentation in class; presentation of methods.
Attending classes regularly, participating actively; short writtens tasks and report on observations of language classes; final interview.
