The students acquire knowledge in perceiving, evaluating and explaining the various forms of historical traces in the public space of a town like Černivci (Czernowitz, Ukraine). They enlarge their competences to deconstruct these traces und to present the results of their analytical research. To aim at the publication students learn to pursue their research to the final editing procedures.
The course offers a first orientational knowledge about the various levels of the urban development of Černivci (Czernowitz, Ukraine). Bases on this students will be split into groups to prepare for the research during the field program.
Lectures, discussion of literature, preparation of field assignments
