Knowing the discussion about confessionalism in humanities als cultural factor, history oft protestantism especially in Austria and the Tyrol.

This course is the beginning of a three-term study-project which finds its end in summer 2017 (2017: 500 years of reformation) by a official presentation, that will be develeoped in the second and third term.

The subject of the project is a cultural-studies-approach to "being protestant in the Tyrol". Therefore it will be necessary to establish a basis in the first term by studying the history of reformation, the question of confessionalism as cultural factor and finally the specifics of the history of protestantism in Austria - the country of Counterreformation.
