Understanding sleep as culturally framed phenomena. Knowing approaches in cultural studies.

Sleep is unconscious, but its embedding (literally!) in everyday life and its semiotic charge (relax, cousin of death, land of dreams, lazyness ...) is highly cultural. In this course we will explore these dimensions heuristically and methodically.
