704990 Superconducting quantum circuits
summer semester 2016 | Last update: 01.04.2016 | Place course on memo listUnderstanding of Superconducting circuits and their applications in quantum optics.
Target group of the lecture: All PhD and Master students who work on problems in quantum optics, quantum information and want to extend their knowledge of quantum optics into the field of superconducting circuits.
Content of the lecture: In this course we introduce the theory of superconducting quantum circuits, from very basic tools, such as quantization of electrical circuits, all the way to setups with multiple superconducting qubits and microwave resonators, and their application to quantum optics, quantum information and quantum simulation. The course intents to be self-contained, but requires a basic practical understanding of Quantum Mechanics.
The lecture is sponsored by IQOQI.
