At the end of the seminar students are able to build hypotheses and to collect quantitative data and to analyse them statistically. They can use descriptive statistics and calculate correlations. Students can also reflect on the results critically.

 

In the seminar the whole process of an empirical quanitative project will be presented. After discussing the development of hypotheses and some foundations in statistics, we will deal with questionnaires, online tools and statistical software (SPSS). An explicit focus lies on correlations and their conclusions. Students have to realise their own empirical project in small groups.

Lecturers to give input, exercises, discussions of empirical projects.
